Ray Shevenell was 74 years old when he retraced the steps of his great-great-grandfather, Israel Shevenell, who had hiked from north of Quebec to the Maine coast in search of a job in 1845. The trek took two weeks, during which he suffered excruciating blisters, but his steely determination got him safely here.

I’m a graduate of Skidmore College, a contented and happy wife, mother and grandmother who also enjoys knitting, golfing, traveling and reading.
